I’m from Afghanistan and was born in Kabul, the capital city.I learnt to cook from my mother and grandmother. My mother was always cooking for our big family and often needed my help. She would show me how to make something one day, and then the very next day, she’d ask me to do it myself. That’s how I learnt so much. Especially desert, I love desert the best, and am always making sweet treats.Two years ago, I started a small business cooking from home through All About the Cooks. People could order my food, and it would be delivered all over Bristol. My food was very popular. At one point, I was getting orders for up to 100 people!Back in Kabul, I studied mathematics at university and later taught maths in an all-boys private school.Now, I’m excited to teach again—but this time, a different subject. The subject is food, and the classroom is the kitchen.I’m happiest when I’m in my kitchen. I play music, focus on cooking, and enjoy being in my own world.
